I’m here to help you with your Ownership. This blog is specifically designed to help you get the most out of your RCI® membership.  So let me have a chat, and hopefully I answer all your questions!

Who is RCI®?

Resort Condominiums International most commonly known as RCI® is a membership based Exchange Company which provides a platform for its members to exchange timeshare accommodation weeks with each other around the world.

As a WorldMark South Pacific Club Owner you can exchange your Vacation Credits with RCI® and have access to their accommodation options.

A lot of Owners ask ‘How does RCI® associate with the WorldMark South Pacific Club?’

Well I think it is important to note that whilst WorldMark South Pacific Club and RCI® have the same parent company – Wyndham Worldwide – they are still separate entities underneath that banner.  The great thing is that the relationship we have with RCI® does give our Owners access to some additional benefits through RCI®.

Firstly, one of those great benefits is that, Privileges by Wyndham members receive a complimentary RCI® membership.

Did You Know?

  • RCI® have over 4,300 affiliated resorts in approximately 100 countries
  • You can book up to two years in advance through RCI®
  • RCI do not own, manage or run any of the resorts
  • Searching with RCI® is a fantastic option if you wish to travel somewhere you cannot use your WorldMark South Pacific Club properties

 

Booking RCI Properties

Now you’re probably wondering, ‘Where do I find all of these properties?’. Well, to browse through the RCI® directory of resorts you just need to:

  1. Jump onto the WorldMark South Pacific Club website
  2. Sign in with your Ownership Number and Password (Your 11 digit number)
  3. Click on ‘RCI Exchange’ located on the left hand side of the homepage
  4. Accept two terms and conditions pages
  5. You will be redirected to the RCI® search page, designed specifically for WorldMark South Pacific Club Owners – it will show you prices in Vacation Credits

Hint: ‘Check in’ days are usually Friday or Saturday – although this can vary between properties

Exchange Bookings

There are three different types of exchange bookings that you can do with RCI®. So let’s talk more about this…

  1. Confirm First – Simply means that you confirm a reservation before you transfer your Vacation Credits into RCI®
    • Vacation Credits are only deducted after the reservation is confirmed (within three- five business days)
    • An RCI® exchange fee and housekeeping fee/token is required

 

  1. Spacebanking – Simply means you are transferring Vacation Credits into your RCI® account without making a booking.

Spacebanked Credits will have a lifespan within RCI® of two years, which is great for any Vacation Credits coming up to expire in your WorldMark account.

  • Once you Spacebank your Vacation Credits into RCI® they cannot be transferred back into your WorldMark Ownership
    • I would personally only recommend to Spacebank if you have Vacation Credits expiring soon
    • You must deposit a minimum of 3,000 Vacation Credits and I would recommend allowing up to 72 hours for the Vacation Credits to be transferred into your RCI® account.
    • Contact Owner Services on AU1800 850 160; NZ0800 850 160 or FJ00 800 32 63 to request your Credits be Spacebanked

 

  1. Instant Exchange – Is RCI®’s discounted option for last minute availability.  It will always be for 7 nights’ accommodation worldwide.
    • It only requires 3,000 Vacation Credits – regardless of the location, apartment size and season that you choose.
    • An exchange fee and housekeeping service will be charged at the time of confirmation.
    • To book you can either go online (as mentioned above) or by contacting RCI® directly on the below number

Ongoing Search Request

Flexibility with RCI is the key to achieving successful exchanges.  If you can’t find the availability for your preferred dates make sure you place an Ongoing Search with RCI®, either online or by phoning their service centre.  Your Ongoing Search will search for availability 24 hours, 7 days a week and if your request is matched RCI® will contact you and then you will have 24 hours to confirm your booking

RCI® Exchange Fee

How much is the Exchange Fee you ask?

Australian and New Zealand members:

  • If you are travelling Domestic it is $119.00*
  • If you are travelling International it is $229.00*

*Subject to change 

 

If you’re a Privileges Elite, Diamond, Platinum or 100 Club member you can enjoy exchange fee discounts when you contact RCI® directly and complete your exchange over the phone – just make sure to remind them of your Privileges membership tier to ensure you get the correct discount

RCI®’s Booking Cancellation Policy

As RCI® is a separate complimentary membership it means that RCI®’s cancellation guidelines will be a little different to the WorldMark South Pacific Club Ownership

RCI®’s Standard Booking Cancellation Policy is below

  • If you are cancelling an RCI® booking more> than 22 days prior to check in then $75 is forfeited from the exchange fee.
  • If you are cancelling an RCI® booking <less than 21 days prior to check in then the entire exchange is forfeited.

Hint: I highly recommend referring to your confirmation letter after you make your booking with RCI® as some resorts have their own cancellation policy. Highlight the cancellation policy, put it on your fridge, your calendar, or your phone, do whatever you have to do to remember it – It’s vital that you don’t forget and lose your entire exchange fee.

Nightly Stays and Split Week Resorts

Although I have said previously that accommodation with RCI® is in weekly blocks, I will mention that RCI® can offer ‘Nightly Stays’ and ‘Split Weeks’

  • There are a selected range of resorts (roughly over 600) that offer ‘Nightly Stays’ and ‘Split Week’ stays
  • This offer is available if you are a Privileges by Wyndham member
  • Destinations available throughout America, Canada, the UK as well as Europe.
  • To book you must contact RCI® directly via phone
  • You can book these resorts up to 10 months in advance
  • Housekeeping Fee and Exchange Fees will apply

So that’s basically RCI® in a nutshell!

Being able to exchange through RCI® is a great benefit available to WorldMark South Pacific Club Owners, giving you additional holiday options around the globe. RCI® have a very friendly service centre, who are there to help you make holiday memories.

Benefits of a Privileges Platinum membership

1. Additional Resort Benefits

Complimentary Parking – Do you enjoy having the convenience of a vehicle whilst you’re on holidays? Well we are pleased to let you know that you receive Complimentary Parking at applicable resorts that may usually require a fee. This will be applied at the time of making a booking and you can always confirm with the Resort Staff upon arrival.

Complimentary Movie Rentals are available at selected resorts and as a Privileges Platinum member you receive unlimited movies during your stay. This is going to be perfect for those nights in or a rainy day.

Platinum Unit Upgrade -What better way to start a holiday than with a pleasant surprise? Receive a Platinum Unit Upgrade at selected resorts where you could be upgraded to the next room classification, if available, on the day of arrival for the duration of the total stay. How amazing is that?!

TIP: An upgrade is not always guaranteed due to the occupancy level at each resort however, if the availability is there then you will be sure to receive this great benefit! Feel free to enquire with reception upon arrival and they will be able to assist you.

Platinum Pamper Pack – As you get into your room ensure a good night’s sleep with the Platinum Pamper Pack and have the option of a pillow preference. But that’s not all! While you’re at it, enjoy the luxury of slipping into a Privileges embroidered robe along with matching slippers.

2. Extra Resorts

The Registry Collection by RCI –Luxury leisure travel at its finest! You are entitled to one exchange per annum at some of the finest leisure properties and destinations around the world. Contact Registry Collection by RCI directly on AU 1300 783 740 | NZ 0800 880 224

Associate Resorts – Your Associate Resorts give you more destinations and more opportunities for travel. The higher the tier level, the extended booking window you will have for these spectacular resorts! You can book up to 14 months in advance as a Privileges Platinum.

Here’s just a taste of what you can expect with your Associate Resorts:

Ramada Resort Reia Tapia Beach, Northland New Zealand – Is a beautiful beachfront resort in the heart of Doubtless Bay which includes a swimming pool, spa, barbeque areas, restaurant and a bar. It’s just a short drive to discover Cape Reinga at the top of New Zealand, Paihia & Bay of Islands home of the ‘Hole in the Rock’ and ‘Dolphin Watching’

Ramada Singapore at Zhongshan Park, Singapore – After a busy day exploring the delights of Singapore, relax by the 30metre swimming pool, work out in the 24 hour gym or visit the adjoining retail mall. The hotel also features a stylish restaurant as well as a stylish bar. WorldMark, The Club Resorts – You can book WorldMark, The Club resorts up to 11 months in advance and you can book through your WorldMark South Pacific Club website the same way as a WorldMark South Pacific Club Resort reservation. 

CLUB WYNDHAM Plus®- Club Wyndham Plus is another Club under the Wyndham Vacation Ownership arm of the business. It provides even more additional resorts in America under the Affiliate Program. You can use your Credits to book selected Club Wyndham properties up to 9 months in advance and you can book via your WorldMark website (The same way you book your WorldMark South Pacific Club properties). 3. Services

Les Concierge Service – Not enough time on your hands? With Les Concierge Service you can enjoy five star concierge services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whether its tickets to a popular show, a reservation at an exclusive restaurant or maybe even front row seats to a sports event, no request is too much to ask! Simply contact them via email on registrycollection@lesconcierges.com

Reserve Guarantee –Get in first! Receive an exclusive notification by email 14 days before all other members about any new Associate Resorts. If any of the new resorts catch your eye you can also be the first to book before all other members. This is definitely a huge benefit of being a Platinum member!

4. Additional Membership

Wyndham Rewards - As a Privileges Platinum member, you receive even more benefits through Wyndham Rewards Exchange. Once every Anniversary Year, you can exchange your Privileges Qualified Credits for Wyndham Rewards points up to the Annual Credit Exchange Cap (up to 63,000 Credits) for a small Exchange Fee ($99 flat rate) All you need to do is contact your Owner Services Team or simply log into www.privilegesbywyndham.com.au/loadcreditExchange and fill out the ‘Credits for Points’ exchange form. 1 Privileges Qualified Credit can be exchanged for 7.5 Wyndham Rewards points.

TIP: you can exchange your Privileges Qualified Credits once every Anniversary Year so it is important to know exactly how many Privileges Qualified Credits you need to exchange into Wyndham Rewards points for a reservation, because once you exchange, the Wyndham Rewards points cannot be exchanged back into Vacation Credits and you will need to wait until your next Anniversary Year to facilitate your next exchange.


5. Cash Options

Fun Time – Remember, this is a last minute cash option!  You can make Fun Time reservations up to 42 days from the date of arrival at your chosen destination (subject to availability) for a maximum of 7 nights at extremely attractive cash rates. Find out more…

One Time Credits- You can purchase One Time Credits at 21% off the published rate meaning you only pay 15 cents per Credit. One Time Credits can be used when you do not have enough Credits to make a reservation and is payable at the time of making the reservation.

6. Travel Club

Personal Choice – You may use your Privileges Qualified Credits towards travel items with Travel by Wyndham. Travel options include, but are not limited to, flights, accommodation, tours, travel packages, cruises and transfers. If you wish to take advantage of this benefit then contact Travel by Wyndham to book! This benefit can be used once every Anniversary Year and your Privileges Qualified Credits that are being used towards this benefit will require a minimum of 45 days validity to be accepted.

7. Discounts

Travel Insurance Discount -You also receive a Travel Insurance Discount through Travel by Wyndham where you receive a 25% discount on Cover-More Travel insurance policies when you’re booking associated international travel (Australian and New Zealand Residents only).

RCI Elite Benefits – When you call RCI and make an exchange over the phone you can receive ongoing discounts each time. As a Platinum member you can receive $30 off the exchange fee – Perfect to go towards your holiday!

  • Share your holiday experiences with friends and family and receive a Free Guest Certificate once per calendar year valued at $30! This benefit can be used once per calendar year.
  • Circumstances can change and RCI understands this. RCI will waive the cancellation fee if you cancel your booking 45 days prior to the arrival date.
  • Credit Extension – Receive an additional 12 months to book your holidays using your space banked credits.

TIP: To take advantage of the RCI Elite Benefits discounts you must call RCI and make an exchange over the phone.

2. Travel

Personal Choice – With an amazing benefit known as Personal Choice you can use your Privileges Qualified Credits towards travel options with Travel by Wyndham. Travel options include, but are not limited to, flights, accommodation, tours, travel packages, cruises and transfers. This benefit can be used once every other Anniversary Year. Contact Travel by Wyndham to book!

TIPThis year’s most sought after destinations are Hong Kong to Nagasaki, Vietnam to Hong Kong, Europe, New Zealand, Iceland and The Blue Lagoon. That’s just to name a few. For more information and to see more incredible destinations click here. Privileges Qualified Credits that are being used towards this benefit will require a minimum of 45 days validity to be accepted.

3. Discounts on Holidays

Complimentary Housekeeping – Guess what?! As a Privileges Diamond member you receive Complimentary Housekeeping! Yes, that’s right- free housekeeping at your WorldMark South Pacific Club Resorts, Associate Resorts, Affiliate Resorts and also exchanges.

Complimentary Movie Rentals, available at selected resorts and as a Privileges Diamond member you receive three (3) free movies during your stay. Always good if you plan to have nights in during your relaxing holiday, or for a rainy day.

Complimentary Resort Activities, also available to Privileges Diamond members at selected resorts. Hire bikes, tennis rackets, boogie boards or even use it on the Kids Club (ages 5-12) if you want a little ‘time out’ from the kidlets.


4. Exchange Programs

Wyndham Rewards© As referred to in the first Privileges Blog, you are automatically enrolled into Wyndham Rewards© with the ability to earn and redeem Wyndham Rewards© points for use on your accommodation, car rentals, gift cards, levies and much more!

But! That’s not all that you’re entitled to with Wyndham Rewards©. You also have access to Wyndham Rewards© Exchange. Once every Anniversary Year, you can exchange your Privileges Qualified Credits for Wyndham Rewards points up to the Annual Credit Exchange Cap (up to 35,000 Credits) for a small Exchange Fee ($149 flat rate). 1 Privileges Qualified Credit can be exchanged for 6 Wyndham Rewards points.

TIP: you can exchange your Privileges Qualified Credits once every Anniversary Year so it is extremely important to know exactly how many Privileges Qualified Credits you will need to exchange for Wyndham Rewards© points because once you use your exchange benefit, the Wyndham Rewards© points cannot be exchanged back into Vacation Credits and you will need to wait until your next Anniversary Year in order to make another exchange.

5. Cash Options

Fun Time – Remember, this is a last minute cash option! You can make Fun Time reservations up to 35 days from the date of arrival at your chosen destination (subject to availability) for a maximum of six nights and unlimited weekend stays at extremely attractive cash rates.

One Time Credits- As a Diamond member, your discount off One Time Credits is at 15% off the published rate meaning you only pay 16 cents per Credit. One Time Credits can be used when you do not have enough credits to make a reservation and it is payable at the time of making the reservation.

There are 5 (five) tiers to the Privileges by Wyndham membership.

As a Privileges Elite member you own between 20,000 to 34,999 Privileges Qualified Credits awarded annually. 1. Additional Resort Benefits

Grocery Service - Feel like having your kitchen stocked with some basic groceries to get your holiday started? Start by choosing your groceries online at Coles, Woolworths or Countdown (if you are travelling to New Zealand) and check-in to a stocked fridge! This benefit is available at specified WorldMark South Pacific Club properties. Contact Owner Services to organise your next order.

2. Travel & Reservation Benefits

Priority Service Reservation Team – Did you know you have access to an exclusive priority service teamwho is dedicated to looking after your holidaying needs? Simply turn your Privileges membership card (Owner card) over to the back and ring the number when you are ready to make your next holiday booking!

Reservation Reminders - Don’t let an opportunity pass you by again! You will be sent an email notification seven to two days before your 13-month or nine-month booking window opens at your desired resort. Simply call Owner Services and request this benefit ahead of time!

3. Additional Discounts

Discounted One Time Credits – as part of this Privileges tier, you receive a 10% discount off your One Time Credits purchase. This is a great perk for those times you need to top up some Vacation Credits to complete a reservation if you fall short.

What is an Online Conference Call?

Our Online Conference Calls are very interactive and informative. It’s your chance to gain some really great helpful hints and tips that will assist you with your holiday planning! You’ll be sure to know how to make full use of your Ownership all within an hour.

As a WorldMark South Pacific Club Owner you also get the chance to speak directly with an expert whether it’s myself or even my partner in my crime – Vanessa! You will also have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the presentation by simply typing into a Q&A box (as during the session our Owners are placed on mute to ensure you don’t miss out on the information provided by the host).

If there is time at the end, Owners are welcome to hang around to have a little chat and also hear questions that other Owners may have.

  • The Exchange Program where you will discover how Privileges Elite members and above can exchange their Privileges Qualified Credits for Wyndham Reward Points.
  • Wyndham Rewards Expansion – “Blue Thread” began in October 2016 to expand the Wyndham Rewards program throughout the different entities of Wyndham Worldwide.
  • You will also be shown the Go Free and Go Fast options with a brief overview of what each option means. Your host will also point out the most Popular Destinations that our Privileges by Wyndham members are currently staying at. Wyndham Rewards currently offers its members over 25,000 hotels and resorts. You will find out some Interesting Facts and Awards and be shown how to navigate your way through the Wyndham Rewards App as well as the Wyndham Rewards website and then your host will finish off with some Frequently Asked Questions.

Please note: If you are registering online it’s extremely important that you put in the most up to date contact details in order to receive the ‘reminder’ and the ‘login instructions’ prior to the education session. You may also receive a phone call the day before or the day of to confirm your attendance and ensure you are confident in logging into the session.

booking formOnce you’ve registered, you will receive a Booking Confirmation Email shortly after to your email address that you provided on the registration. This will then automatically book you into the Online Conference Call.

The Booking Confirmation Email will include:

  • The date and time of your Online Conference Call

Please note: The time is always in AESTAustralian Eastern Standard Time however we will always provide you with the daylight savings times in all states in our ‘Reminder Emails’.

  • A link to the System Requirements.

The Reminder Email will include:

  • The date and time of your Online Conference Call
  • The information on the Online Conference Call and what the session will cover
  • Any technical requirements for the conference call. i.e. pop up blockers, devices
  • Attached will also be the log in instructions. This is just in case you wish to complete a test run earlier in the week before you receive the actual Login Instructions via a separate email the day before the session. This is also to ensure your system is compatible with the link and that you are all ready to go!

 

How to cancel an Online Conference Call:

We understand that circumstances can change and sometimes you may be required to cancel an Online Conference Call.

Once you’ve logged in and your host is there to welcome you – all you need to do is sit back, relax, watch and listen.

You’re more than welcome to take notes as well because I have no doubt you’re going to learn some fantastic hints and tips throughout the session. If the session is yet to begin, then make sure you’ve got that hot coffee, wine or even a beer and guess what?! We can’t see you so jump into your comfy clothes or PJ’s.

Another ‘extra’ benefit is Privileges Holiday Extras. (See what I did there??). These are fantastic specials on 7 night stays using your Credits at affiliated resorts worldwide. You can view availability up to four months ahead and a housekeeping token or fee is applied at the time of booking. Check out availability and destinations via the Privileges website. It’s that easy!

2. Extra Resorts:

Associate Resorts – Your Associate Resorts give you more destinations and more opportunities for travel. Just like your WorldMark South Pacific Club Resorts, you can book up to 13 months in advance for these resorts (subject to availability). A minimum seven-night stay applies for bookings more than 9 months from date of arrival.

Here’s just a taste of what you can expect with your Associate Resorts:
TRYP – Fortitude Valley, Brisbane - This resort is amazing and well known for its incredible street art theme created by world-famous artists. It’s definitely in a perfect location for those who are venturing out into Brisbane City; it’s within walking distance of the Old Museum Building Brisbane, the Story Bridge, and the Brisbane Exhibition Ground. It’s a twenty minute drive to Brisbane airport and the rooftop terrace and bar is a must visit! This funky resort is not to be missed!

Ramada Eco Beach Resort, Broome - This resort is an award winning eco resort known for its eco friendliness/glamping style features. If you’re wishing to escape technology and completely unwind for a few nights then this is going to be the perfect destination for you.  Located 130km South of Broome this eco resort will provide you with an unforgettable and very unique experience. During the hourly session, you will be shown

The call is a great way for your host to confirm your attendance and check that you are all ready to go after reading the login instructions, and to answer any questions you may have regarding logging into the session.

The best thing about your online conference calls is that you can attend as many times as you like!

The confirmation email will include:

  • The date and time of your online conference call (the time of the session will be in AEST as we are based in QLD) but you will be provided the daylight savings times in all states.

We spent an amazing 8 nights at Wyndham Vacation Resorts Denarau Island over Easter and ever since we returned home, my 3 year old daughter Eliana has been asking me “When are we going back?” almost on a daily basis! Even as an adult, Fiji and it’s beautiful, kind hearted people leave an imprint on you which is hard to forget!

Family holidays can be stressful at times. So I’d like to share some tips with you to help your Fiji holiday be the best it can be!  Feel free to post in the comments with your own tips!

1. What to pack?

Every time we travel, I pack Eliana’s Trunkii (ride on suitcase) with enough things to keep her entertained for at least double the time of the actual flights. This time around my parents gave her a portable DVD player which was a godsend on the plane!

I also packed quite a few grocery items in my luggage, which I declared on the Fijian Customs form. Items such as, ground coffee, pasta, biscuits, popcorn & noodles etc. were great to have for basic supplies.  Kids can sometimes be a bit fussy with new foods in a new country and although Eliana loved the traditional Fish Lolo (Fish in Coconut cream) sometimes she just wanted favourites from home.  Taking groceries from home saved us money too as we didn’t have to eat out as much because we self-catered in our beautiful 2 bedroom Standard Garden View room.

2. Get around town!

The day after we arrived we took the dollar bus (It costs just FJ$1 each way) into Nadi town. The bus stops directly outside our resort.  Eliana loved ‘helping’ us pay with Fijian currency (many a dollar was lost during the trip L). In town we stocked up with fresh groceries from the supermarket, picked up fruit and veges from the Nadi Produce Market (Fijian bananas are AMAZING & the avocados were almost as big as my head) and then took a taxi back to the resort with our shopping! The taxi driver was happy to stop at the South Pacific Butchery which is on the road that takes you back to Denarau, so we could buy excellent quality meat, chicken, lamb, sausages to cook on one of the many BBQs dotted around the resort grounds! YUM! There’s a small store next to reception if you would like to buy fresh bread or any extras throughout your stay too and it is reasonably priced.

3. Experience Island life

A trip to Fiji isn’t complete until you’ve visited the outer islands. Our first day trip was on the 100 foot schooner, Whales Tale. It’s an all-inclusive day trip out to Schooner Island…  after a delicious buffet BBQ lunch, hubby and I snorkelled while my parents took Eliana fish feeding on the glass bottom boat! The crew were excellent and they even played the guitar and sang nursery rhymes to Eliana when she got a bit grumpy before her nap time. The Fijian rendition of Wheel on the Bus is truly something to behold. She loved it!! Probably her happiest moment of the day was egging on her father to jump off the top of the boat into the water. She cheered him on and by the end of it, the whole boat was chanting “Papa, Papa, Papa” along with her! I’ve been recommending Whales Tale to every Owner I speak with, my family loved it!

Our second island visit was to Robinson Crusoe Island on their Cultural Day trip tour. This tour was different to Whales Tale in that it took us via bus through a few villages to the jetty where our river long boat departed from. It was nice to venture out of Denarau and Nadi to see more of the countryside.

Robinson Crusoe Island has so many activities on offer and it was a really entertaining day. My dad, who is not much of a beach person, really enjoyed this cultural trip. The coconut tree climbing was amazing to see as was the medicinal walk, showing us all the plants used in traditional medicine. Our lunch was a traditional lovo; fish and potatoes cooked underground accompanied by delicious home baked bread, salads and BBQ chicken. After lunch the Island Crew treated us to a Fijian dancing show followed by crab racing, which won Eliana a 2nd place prize! The Fijian people love kids and go out of their way to make their day special! We were really pleased with the service we received! We left Robinson Crusoe Island with big smiles on our face, full bellies and braids in our hair. It was a great day trip and I highly recommend it.

4.Chill out at the resort!

Children aged 5-12 years can enjoy the free kids club at Wyndham Denarau Island and they are happy to entertain littlies under 5yrs of age, so long as they are accompanied by an adult. As we were there over Easter, the kids club and activities staff organised a MASSIVE Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday which was a hit!

Every evening at sunset, the drums by the pool will sound to mark the beginning of the lantern lighting ceremony. The children were invited to participate and on our last night Eliana helped light the lantern.

5.Take some child-free time for yourself!

If you’re lucky enough to be staying at Wyndham Denarau Island with bring-along-babysitters (read: Grandparents) like us, do yourself a favour and check out Cloud9. It’s a floating bar in the middle of the ocean, on Ro Ro Reef. My husband and I escaped for the day and enjoyed relaxing on the deck, drinking cocktails and eating wood fire pizzas while listening to some great tunes! Rosie’s Tour desk can book it for you and you can thank me later!

Mum and I left Eliana with her dad and granddad for a few hours one day and did a cooking class with Flavours of Fiji. What better way to learn about the Fijian culture than to learn about their food! Ethee, Arti and Ajay were excellent teachers and taught us to make 3 Fijian dishes and 4 Indian dishes. We learnt the traditional way to scrape the inside of a coconut and how to make our own roti bread. The menu is seasonal and utilises the best local ingredients. We got to sit down and enjoy all of our yummy creations and have a chat with other guests from around the world. Definitely check out Flavours of Fiji if you have the chance; I have cooked a few of the dishes since being back at home and the family loves them!

If you’re thinking of checking out Fiji, don’t hesitate! We love it and have already booked again for next year! I might see you at the Pool Bar! Planning in advance is the best tip I can give you! Use your 13 month booking window wisely and remember that you have up to a month before your check in date to change your holiday should your plans not work out! But don’t miss the boat! Book early! And if your dates aren’t available at the time of searching, ask your friendly Owner Services team to place you on a waitlist! Waitlists are very effective and it’s the only way for us to search on your behalf and let you know if availability comes up!

Travel Club, RCI & ICE Conference Call Insight

Hi there….I’m back!

It’s Vanessa again, your friendly Owner Education consultant. I hope you enjoyed my last blog and to our WorldMark Owners who are reading this, I hope you have attended the ‘New Owner Getting You Started’ online conference call since! If you have booked and not yet attended you are in for a real treat! Remembering what I said…

 “An Educated Owner is a Happy Owner.”

After I introduced you to my amazing team and a wonderful insight to the ‘New Owner Getting You Started’ online conference call including the benefits and what to expect, I am now going to introduce you to our next session called ‘Travel Club by Wyndham, RCI and ICE’.

Benefits of an online Conference Call:

You will find our online conference calls very interactive and informative. You will gain some very helpful tips to assist you holiday and make full use out of your Ownership all within in an hour! As a WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Owner you will be speaking directly with an expert and you will have the ability to ask questions as you are shown the presentation or you can type them into the Q&A box. You will have the ability to listen to other Owners and hear their WorldMark stories. You may also, depending on the session topic, be shown the relevant websites through a quick live navigation at the end of the session including; WorldMark South Pacific Club, Privileges by Wyndham, RCI or Wyndham Rewards. We are happy to help and guide you wherever we can.

There are currently four online conference call topics to choose from; the first is “New Owner Getting You Started” which was the topic of my last blog, and the second I am going to explain today is called “Travel Club by Wyndham, RCI and ICE”. This session is designed for our WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Owners looking to travel overseas and wanting to use their Vacation Credits outside of the WorldMark South Pacific Club.


What to expect prior to the Travel Club by Wyndham, RCI and ICE session?

In this session you will learn how to make reservations with WorldMark, The Club which is our sister club in North America, and explore some of the Affiliate resorts available to you and their amazing locations including WorldMark Anaheim. During the one hour session you will also be shown Grab It deals and the different travel related services provided by the Travel Club by Wyndham –who are your exclusive fully licensed travel agency based here on the Gold Coast. Uncover hot travel deals using your Vacation Credits or cash and explore the many Club Tours around the world such as Canada and Alaska. You will also learn how to book holidays with RCI who is your exchange company and take a closer look into ICE membership cruise benefits using your Vacation Credits or cash – plus learn about 241 cruise certificates.

Now I can’t give too much away as you will just need to book in a session to find out more so I will leave it there.

TRI 1

What happens after the session is finished?

After you have attended an online conference call session you will be sent a thank you email with a short survey to fill out with your feedback about the session – we really do love hearing from you and appreciate any comments to help us make your experience a better one. Attached to the email will be a small booklet; in this particular session you will receive information on the basic Travel Club, RCI and ICE information that was covered in the session. This is great information that we have put together in case Owners missed any part of the session, or if they want a re-cap.

Tip: WorldMark Owners can print out the information booklet or save it to their computer to refer back to!

How do you book?

There are two ways you can book if you are a WorldMark South Pacific Club Owner:

  1. Contact your friendly Owner Services consultant when you make your next enquiry via email or phone, or;
  2. If you wish to book yourself online, simply visit www.worldmarksp.com/conferencecalls and fill out your WorldMark Owner details in the booking form (as shown below).

Please note: It is important to ensure your details are correct in order to receive the ‘reminder’ email andlogin instructions’ email which are sent prior to the session. You may also receive a phone call to the number you provided in the booking form the day of the session. The call is a great way for your host to confirm your attendance and check that you are all ready to go after reading the login instructions, and to answer any questions you may have regarding logging into the session.

The best thing about your online conference calls is that you can attend as many times as you like!

Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a confirmation email to your email address as this automatically books you into the online conference call.

The confirmation email will include:

  • The date and time of your online conference call (the time of the session will be in AEST as we are based in QLD) but you will be provided the daylight savings times in all states.
  • Information on the online conference call and what the session will cover.
  • Technical requirements for the online conference call i.e. pop up blockers, devices to use and browser suitability.
  • Simple steps on how to get connected successfully (a link will be provided for you to click on as this will open up the online webinar).

TIP: it is always a good idea to test out the link provided in the login instructions email and follow the steps before you log in prior to the session to ensure you don’t have any issues and be ready to begin on time.

How to Cancel the online Conference Call:

If you wish to cancel your upcoming session please reply to the email provided when you receive the reminder or login instructions emails, or you can simply email owner.education@wyn.com to cancel or if you have any questions and would like to be contacted.

TRI 2

Once you have logged in and your host welcomes you – all you need to do is sit back, relax, watch and listen. Feel free to take some notes as you will hear some great hints and tips along the way! If the session hasn’t began and you still have some time before it starts, go and grab yourself a cuppa or a glass of wine and get comfortable.

Remember: We can’t see you, so if you are sitting there in your pajamas we will never know!
