A Behind the Scenes Look at TRYP Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

Psst – have you heard about TRYP Fortitude Valley Hotel, Brisbane?

Opened in 2015, TRYP Fortitude Valley describes itself as Brisbane’s first art hotel- and it’s certainly earned the moniker.

The boutique hotel boasts street art by world-acclaimed artists, edgy decor, and – best of all – a surprising history. The 150-year-old building was originally home to a mysterious secret society, the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes.

With a wink to its roots,  TRYP Fortitude Valley fuses rustic original timber floors with urban design elements, statement artwork and more than a dash of charisma (scroll down for the images!).

This week, TRYP Fortitude Valley welcomed Brisbane Airport Ambassadors and Visitor Information Centre staff on a special behind-the-scenes tour.

Here’s what they had to say…

“TRYP Brisbane was a wonderful experience from many angles. The total otherness of the interior design and the finishes – I want one of the glass bathroom bowls – the casual professionalism of the front of house was excellent and the “snacks” served by the Chur staff were soooooooooo tasty. I was impresses that Up on Constance, the funky roof top bar and eatery, was promoting Veuve Clicquot!!!!

As for the “street art” it was amazing. I went online to find out more about the artists and it is great to see that even though they began on the streets they exhibit worldwide. It was interesting to read the TripAdvisor reviews (full of praise) and the response from TRYP Brisbane. The rate starting from $139.00 a day I think is good value for this part of the city.

A great way to spend a Monday morning with such good company.”

“I loved the morning at TRYP and I have already told family and friends about the hotel. These people like somewhere different to have breakfast or just coffee and this to me is the answer. The whole package the accommodation, the staff and dining is 5 stars in my book. Thank the staff on my behalf for the famil.”

“I think this accommodation definitely stands out as being the first of its kind to offer an experience that is very different from other accommodations. It incorporates street art with comfort all under a minimal space which was perfectly planned by the designers. It is perfect for transit passengers that want a different experience, all within close proximity to amenities (transport and leisure). We definitely liked the property and would love to bring them on board with us in promoting them as one of Brisbane’s funky new hotels. Just also love the fact that they have gone all out in supporting local street artists in their career. Hotel prides itself on quality, from customer care right down to quality of comfort to provide a solid experience.”

“A visit to TRYP was a fantastic way to start our famil calendar for 2015! It was extremely encouraging to hear the level and intricacy of the service offered to guests – walking each guest to the room as an example. Special thanks goes to Jessica for organising our visit and to Warren and Kim for being so generous with the time and being excellent hosts.

The beauty of TRYP is that it is the first of its kind in Brisbane – it’s trendy, original and still offers wonderful service. The [Brisbane Airport] Ambassadors and staff are a group of people who are well travelled and have stayed in numerous hotels in the time – the uniqueness of TRYP means that there is a legion of avid supporters at Brisbane Airport who will proudly recommend TRYP to passengers, locals and airport staff.”
